Joshua had his introduction to some farm animals while we were in Texas. We went to a horseback riding place as well as the annual petting zoo held in the parking lot of tractor supply (and HOWDY, was it ever cold!!!) He hasn't joined the FFA yet, but he seems to enjoy all things furry and non-human (to include the bug kit from Ma and Pa that he has been carrying around the house since we got home. I have only screamed a couple times at his fake spiders lying on the floor/chair/bed, etc. Thanks, Pa)
We tried to get a picture of the 5 bigger kids together at the horse riding place. Not too successful as far as smiles, but Presley and Masie hugging sure are cute.

Then Presley ran up to her daddy to give him a hug. Awww.

Here are some pictures of Lucas and Owen (and Uncle Matthew) trying to show Joshua how it's done...

Lucas is an old pro at all this horseback riding stuff.

Joshua liked to pet and feed them, but...

wasn't too sure about the whole riding aspect. Actually, he was pretty sure... that he did
not want to get on the horse.

He was much more comfortable riding the golf cart.

He'd go back and forth between petting and feeding the horses, and riding the golf cart. Hey, whatever makes him happy makes me happy.

And makes Zoe happy too for that matter... This was her experience at the horse riding place... she napped for a while in the stroller, then woke up and smiled...

and posed...

and smiled some more... and just looked cute in general. It's a tough job, but she makes it look easy!

Here we were at the petting zoo. Joshua was having fun getting to know the ram...
getting to know the ram a little too well, I might add... GROSS!! But Joshua seemed to think it was fun. I baby wiped him off afterward. All better, right? Yeah... not so much.
