the bunco mystery solved!

Finally! For years, I've been hearing about this bunco stuff, everyone has a bunco group (or 2 or 3) and I know people who are down right addicted! Although my friends have tried to explain both the game and its allure, I just didn't get it until I finally went and played last night. Craig and Joshua stayed home packing while I went with Pam (a bunco veteran) to a pampered chef bunco. No, I didn't win, but it sure was fun (and since it was a pampered chef bunco, there was lots of good food... like chocolate peanut butter trifle). Now that I know, I might just have to find myself a bunco group!

Potty time & laundry

Joshua's getting to be such a big boy! He's always been good at helping with what he can understand, his Joshua jobs are usually taking things to the trash for us, picking up things he throws/drops on the floor, bringing the TP to the bathroom when we buy a new package, and bringing the trashcans back to the bathroom when we empty them in the garage. He gets to close the dishwasher and doors for us, and push the start buttons on the washer and dryer too. He also likes to wipe the table off when he's done eating - if I forget to give him a rag, he does it with his hands. He likes to sweep too and has always shown an interest in the laundry. So today, he watched me take a couple things out of the washer to put in the dryer and he came over to help. I just stood back and watched him move all the rest of the laundry from the washer to the dryer. Folks, I think we've found a new Joshua job because at this point, it's easier for him to do than for me to bend over and get that stuff out!!

As far as potty time, Joshua has enjoyed sitting on his little plastic potty for months now, as long as he has clothes on (too cold otherwise) Recently, we've started standing him in the tub when he wakes up in the morning, after naps, and before bathtime. This has been a huge success so far, he's peed almost every time (with encouragement and cheering of course) and loves to wave bye bye to his pee as it goes down the drain. Then he does his sign for more, I guess he hasn't yet figured out that mommy & daddy don't control what goes on down there. What a funny little boy!

30 weeks!!

Hi everyone! I have to admit I went through a little blog withdrawl while we were away in Texas. We got home on Thursday and have been unpacking from out trip, packing for our move and yard-selling everything we can in preparation for our relocation in a couple weeks (or less). We're only moving 4 miles, but we're trying to take advantage of the opportunity to go through EVERYTHING and clean house! Craig took a truckload to goodwill after the yard sale today, and I have a few items on ebay. My trash has just GOT to be someone else's treasure :)

I can't believe how different this pregnancy has been compared to when I was pregnant with Joshua. I suppose the main difference would be how my perception of time has changed! Last time, I felt like every day took a week, and this time I somehow got to 30 weeks and hardly noticed! That's right, 30 weeks today. Just wanted to let everyone else know in case you were as oblivious as I about how far along I am :) I guess I should have known by looking at my gianormous belly!! Craig and I are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Zoe Kate, but enjoying our last few weeks alone together with our precious Joshua. I hate to have to divide my attention and hate for him to have to share it with anyone other than Craig, but I know that his little sister will be a joy to us all. July 27th, or whenever she decides to arrive, will be here before we know it!
