they both love to watch daddy

Joshua & Zoe's new favorite video

He just pulled up a chair... um, potty... and his dinner and started chatting with Zoe. Too cute! He was reading to her and telling her all about the bobbies. She loves listening to him, as you can see.

He sat up and said "hand" and stuck his finger out for her to grab.

Here's the little man all by his sweet self

Joshua thought one of his 'bobbies' should take a nap in Zoe's bumbo. How do I know? He said "Bobby, bumbo, nap" and did this:

(I have more videos but since this one took over an hour to get on here, I'll just publish this now and start a new post with the other videos)

Joshua got a video in the mail of Craig reading a construction book, along with the book. All his favorite things rolled into one... daddy, trucks (aka "bobbies"), books and TV! No wonder we watch it about 18 times a day.

happy babies

this was this evening... they're having a little heart to heart. She loves to look at him, and he loves to give her kisses, say hi to her, hand her toys and, most recently, pet her hair and say "pet, pet"
and these was on Tuesday, I think...

sick little man

Here are some pictures from our day yesterday. We went to the doctor's office for a follow up to our appointment Wednesday, at which Joshua had a 103.5 fever (in addition to some off-the-charts crankiness that morning). The first time they found nothing an sent us home to take tylenol/motrin until Friday morning. I got Zoe an appointment too, just for good measure... why waste a trip. On Friday, Zoe had an ear infection (she's now on antibiotics and has still been her usual sweet self) and Joshua has pneumonia (we had to go to the hospital to confirm with a chest xray)

Well, I had been promising him "wies" and chick fil a all morning so after dragging him to the doctor, hospital and rite aid x 2, off we went (mostly so I could hide his antibiotics in a milkshake) This orange racecar was new so he liked it for about 5 seconds until he got all sicky and tired again. Notice in the last 3 pictures how his arms are just hanging limply by his side. I knew he was sick when he didn't protest about leaving without riding the helicopter. I also like how you can see Zoe in the background craning her neck to see what's going on and get in the picture.

Sleepy boy

Joshy isn't feeling too great tonight. He's keeping the good folks at Tylenol & Motrin in business. He was also keeping the animal cracker people in business earlier, since that was all he wanted to eat. He didn't even want juice or ice cream - he must not be feeling well!! He perked up a little after this picture was taken (6pm-ish) and played and took a bath but he was pretty much back to feeling miserable by 9 (I kept him up to give him his motrin). He woke back up at 10, just in time for some tylenol. See you at 2am, little man. Zoe's feeling OK so far.

Joshua wanted to wear my glasses yesterday. I thought it was funny how they look like they really fit him. Unfortunately, the camera was set wrong so the picture is all blurry, and by the time I fixed it, he was done wearing them. He's wearing his "cookie guy" (gingerbread man) pajamas.

Happy Day

Our twins...

Joshua got a Happy Day card in the mail today and loved it. Unfortunately, I didn't get him on video when he first opened it so this is only the very end of his excitement. We had to read it 5 more times before his nap too. There is a coloring portion of the card that I decided to wait until after naptime to talk about.
