A++

glad to report that school was fun, the kids were cute and as well behaved as 12 4 year olds can be... only 2 time outs all day and I was not the one to administer them since I just stood there until the real teacher asked me to do stuff. And I just knocked $15 off my tuition bill for the month. All told, not a bad deal. Of course, my house is a mess and we still don't have any bread because I didn't get to accomplish any of those things I've been telling myself I'd do on Wednesday. They'll just have to wait until Friday.

It's a school night

Ugh, I have to work tomorrow. I'm subbing at Mother's Day Out. So I guess it's going to be more like Mother's Day Watching Other People's 4 Year Olds. Swell. (where oh where is my servant's heart??! I promise I'll be joyful about it tomorrow. After coffee.)

Joshua got upset this morning when we got in the car and he wanted to go to "sool" (school) but instead we went to the gym. I had to explain that there was no one at school today but he could go tomorrow. Tonight when I was packing his lunch he said "sool" "pay" "na now" "mowwo" (school, play, not now, tomorrow) and then he started talking about "tee-chew" "Passy" and "Whe-ul" (his teacher Patsy and one of the kids in his class, Will). He really likes school, which makes it easier for me to leave him. Except for tomorrow since I have to stay. Did I mention how excited I am?

My penchant for dressing children in horizontal stripes is still alive and well. But she makes such a cute inmate.
LOOK AT THIS!!! They're both smiling! With their eyes open! Can you believe it?!
Joshua is showing you his wrinkly hands, having just emerged from the Longest Bath Ever. He was like Linus carrying that blanket around (for about 10 minutes, until he moved on to the firetruck)
Zoe, catching up on her Veggie Tales. Recently, when Joshua asks for "Bob" I have to clarify... "Do you want Bob the Tomato or Bob the Builder?"

I might just take tomorrow off! (1st of 3 posts)

**Don't forget to scroll down... I actually posted 3 times today! I'm also about to add a video of Zoe rolling over. She was a little mad about it, so you might want to turn the volume down.

I said "Joshua, can you make your hippo face?"
Chicks dig funny faces...The neighbors took this one. Zoe was sleeping in her carseat.See the first video on the next post if you're wondering what Joshua is doing here...
awww, how handsome! disclaimer: Zoe was sleeping, that's why there aren't any pictures of her today...

Joshua being a little boy...

um, did anyone else see this coming?? I sure didn't.

nope, not the second time either. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me... (I learned that line from G.W. - kind of...)

I made him do pushups for beating up on Mommy

Zoe trying to roll over (also known as: I will upload these videos if it takes me all night)

Disclaimer: Zoe wears this outfit a lot because I love it and she's about to grow out of it - whenever it's clean, I seem to put her in it.

granted, she might not even be close to rolling over, but she sure does look close and I sure don't want to miss it when she does. I think I have 100 videos of Joshua almost rolling over. Fortunately, I did actually get a video of the first time he did it. It was at my Grandma's house in Florida, Craig was at SERE school, and Grandma and I were playing cards. I may just have to dig it up and post it...

she's a little tummy time pro now!

I added more videos... and narration

And also, I just wanted to let everyone know that Zoe slept from 7:30pm - 6am!! Then, she ate and went back to sleep (it's 7:30am - she's still asleep). I have been praying for wisdom in her eating/sleeping & getting her to sleep longer - I know Craig has been praying for us too. What a great answer to our prayers! Please pray that she continues to sleep this well and that the Lord will continue to give me wisdom in getting her eating/napping/sleeping on a good schedule.

may I please get up now?

I like to blow bubbles.

what's Zoe laughing at?

maybe it was this...
**any suggestions on how I can get him to let me cut his hair??!

Joshua got a belt for his birthday, but he didn't want anything to do with it until I told him it was from Ma and Pa. (he picked his own outfit, and got very upset when I suggested he wear something different)
**Here are the videos, obvs. The narration is for "those of you" in far away countries who can't get sound.

Mommy: what do you want to do Joshua?
Joshua: Yite
Mommy: Light. Here's your belt. Do you want to put it on?
Joshua: Nope.
Mommy: (gasp at the lack of politeness but I let him get away with it for the sake of my cinematography) It's from Ma and Pa.
Joshua: Maaaawwww
Mommy: It's from Ma and Pa, do you want it?
Joshua: (@ 23 seconds) takes the belt, grunting as though it's heavy. I love that funny walk.

Mommy: Joshua can you show me your belt? Who's it from?

Joshua: Paaawwww

Mommy: Who else?

Joshua: Maawwww

Mommy: do you like it?

Joshua: Maawww

Mommy: can you put it on?
Joshua: "no no no no no no" (why did I let him get away with that? because it was CUTE. That's how it all begins...)

Mommy: can Mommy put it on?

Joshua: Mommy (handing belt to Mommy)

Zoe: pant pant squeal
Mommy: Hi
Zoe: uuuhhh uuuhhh
Mommy: Tell us some more
Zoe: Ha Ha Ooohhh ooohhh
Mommy: Tell us some more
Zoe: baby noises / Mommy: Hi
Zoe: high pitched Mariah Carey-esque squeak - too funny

I'm such a winner!

As some of (the 5 of) you may know, I won some coffee from Get the Bean. I chose the hazelnut because I thought it might dampen my cravings for the chocolatey goodness that is nutella. It didn't work, just made me want it more (is that possible?) Anyway, the coffee is great so if you're in the market for some flavored coffee, I can officially recommend:

(wow, check out my big blogging skills! I'll be back later with some cute pictures and maybe videos too!)
