more gymnastics

Zoe concentrating so hard on walking on her heels. So cute!
Joshua bear crawling. Zoe was protesting this one until I told her I'd give her some smarties if she tried everything her teachers told her to

killing time...

We had some time to kill before gymnastics so I took the kiddos to this static display on post that we had driven by a few days prior. As you can see by the fact that they were pointing in nearly every picture, they thought it was all pretty cool. Joshua was a little disappointed the we couldn't actually get in anything. Understandable, but he still had fun.

still pointing...
Zoe moved on to picking dandilions and waving them all around. She even picked one for me :)

this was about her 27th one... they should pay her for weeding this whole park.
still at it...

she saw one way far away and Joshua ran out to pick it for her. Awww...

a little chuck e

after several days of begging and pleading... the kids finally gave in and took me to chuck e cheese. Just kidding. But I do love skee ball.

This was when we first got there. Joshua always goes for this motorcycle game first. Look at the faces he's making! So funny!!

Zoe always goes for this one first.

naptime crafts...

I finished up a couple crafts that have been on my to do list. These were pretty easy, the skirt was super easy and I have some cute owl material to make another one. Unfortunately, Zoe doesn't need ANY more 2T-3T clothes so I guess I'll have to make it big enough for next summer too.I've been wanting to make a cute drying towel for all the wet sippy cups that come out of the dishwasher. I just covered a hand towel with cute fabrics & put a cute binding on it. I started using it instantaneously, as you can see.

gymnastics - take 2

Joshua went to gymnastics on post when he was about 18 months old. He wasn't really interested in doing too much. So we took a 2.5 year break and tried again. They both had a good time and did most of the stuff they were supposed to. 3 more classes so we'll see how they do.

sleeping beauty

Joshua took this picture Baby quilt top is all done. I'm still debating on whether this is good for a baby boy, but I love it so much I think it will have to be. My backing & binding fabrics are on the way :)
Here's our little sleeping beauty. For the first couple years she went to sleep without a hitch... as long as she had her bottle of milk, then sippy cup of milk, then sippy cup of water. When it was finally time for the cup to go, we talked her into throwing it away, in return for some Dora bracelets. It was a rough couple weeks, but there has been no mention of the bottle since. Unfortunately, there has also not been as smooth a bedtime since. Sometimes she wants endless books & songs and still cries when I leave, we've let her play leapster in her crib, have the door open, and now, she wants to keep her lamp on, door open, and have every possible toy in her crib. Lately it has been the blocks. Before I go to bed, I have to go in there, quietly clean up all the blocks around her (or she rolls over on one and starts crying), shut off the lamp & close the door. Here she is in the aftermath. She keeps asking to sleep with Joshua in the "Big kids' room" (as we have dubbed it so that Joshua doesn't get all possessive when she moves in) but we told her she can't move in until she's potty trained. She's got #1 down but asks for a diaper when the time comes for the other...
