After several days cooped up in the house, we made a break for it and went to the zoo & whole foods in Nashville. It was a great time, and I'm sure we'll be back soon. I can't believe we've been here for almost 4 years and we've never been to whole foods before. When I asked Joshua what his favorite part of the day was, he said it was going to whole foods. And not because he got graham cracker ice cream that, dare I say it, was way better than cold stone.

feeding him leaves

87 degrees in October. I am NOT complaining.

Zoe followed him around with leaves for 5 minutes saying "here, goat". He finally got full and stopped taking them, otherwise she might have done it all day.

whoever thought up this place was a genius! Mommies & Daddies sit on cushy benches while kiddos wear themselves out. Joshua was a little upset that he didn't get to go on the big kids playground. Maybe next time.

See. He's having no fun at all. Poor guy.

Zoe stopped to refuel. Delilah, does this look familiar?

Joshua had brought quarters from his piggy bank to ride the carousel. He also wanted to rent a stroller instead of bring one. I told him he could use his quarters however he wanted, but he didn't have enough quarters to do both... Joshua's first lesson in 'opportunity cost'. The young jedi chose wisely
the first time on, he couldn't decide on an animal so he sat there & pouted. Fortunately, we brought enough quarters for 2 rides (& the nice attendant let Zoe on for free)
Watch out, Whole Foods. Here they come!

Graham cracker gelato. Satisfied customers.

Joshua picked it because it had little teddy grahams on top. On another note - look at that hippie hair!!

I would say that this was the perfect end to a {nearly} perfect day, but we went to chick fil A after this, so that made it even better! My boys will be getting some haircuts this weekend! YAY!
